AVM Online Privacy Policy

AVM is committed to protecting your information and privacy.  To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that exceed industry standards and comply with federal law.  These measures include operational security policies, computer safeguards, secured files and buildings.  AVM collects non-public information (NPI) that has been voluntarily provided by you.  This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your personal information.

Information collected may include any of the following-

  • Your name
  • Company name, address and phone number
  • Cell number and email Address
  • Social Security # and/or Employer Identification Number
  • Professional License information
  • General and Professional Liability Policy Information

Our online web application also uses “cookies” to collect information such as your IP address, web browser and operating system to track website usage, such as number of hits, pages visited, application errors, and the length of each user session in order to evaluate the usefulness of and improve our site.  Cookies are pieces of data assigned by a web server to the browser of your PC.  Contrary to reports about cookies, cookies do not contain viruses.  We do not embed any NPI in our cookies.

AVM uses information provided and/or collected to carry out its business activities and provide customer service.  These activities may require us to provide limited information to independent contractors, representatives or service providers who provide services on our behalf.

AVM considers the privacy of NPI provided by our partners, affiliates and clients to be of paramount importance and we will not sell or otherwise provide this information to third parties for the purpose of marketing.

Information, including NPI, may be provided to law enforcement or regulatory officials as required by law, judicial process (court ordered) or regulation.

AVM uses no less than generally accepted industry standards to protect non-public information during both transmission and storage.  To protect sensitive information from loss, mishandling or unintentional misuse, we encrypt such information using secure socket layer (SSL) technology. SSL is the leading security protocol for data transfer on the internet.  This technology scrambles your sensitive information as it moves between your PC’s browser and AVM’s computer systems. 

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.  And while we endeavor to insure every commercially accepted means of protecting non-public information is being employed, we cannot and do not guarantee its absolute security.
